God-Consciousness
Christian worship. Author Patrick Kavanaugh is Executive Director of the Christian Performing Artists’ Fellowship. GOD-CONSCIOUSNESS It is important to see that true worship is not dependent on external actions. 1. It is possible for Christians to worship while doing ordinary tasks (washing dishes). 2. It is possible for Christians NOT to worship while doing activities strongly related to worship (singing at church, praying). Let us start with the lowest common denominator. That is, what must always occur for anyone to worship the Lord? The answer is a "consciousness of God." —Patrick Kavanaugh, WORSHIP—A WAY OF LIFE, Grand Rapids: Chosen Books, 2001, p. 37.
